BSTA/BLTA: unchanged gaze, looking away from partner
Definition: Before the blink, gaze is towards partner. When eyes reopen, gaze is away from partner.
These blinks accompany gaze change. Short glances away from partner are often bracketed by these at the start and their counterpart, the BSAT blink upon return. Either may occur without the other though.
